Awesome food! Let me tell you about this place. We found a seat and we were greeted by Aaron. The table was a little dirty but he took care of that. He came back with our waters. We had questions and he was kind enough to answered them all.
Now for our food, we started with the baked mac and cheese. It was cheesy, delicious, and baked to perfection. For my entree I ordered the Chuck Norris Burger with sweet potato fries. This burger has carmelized onions, gooey cheese on top of a perfectly cooked patty to your liking on a toasted bun. My fries were excellent.
We didn't order any drinks but they have a nice bar and plenty of TVs for visual entertainment. They also have an outdoor patio if you want to eat outside.
If you go, ask for Aaron because he's the best! He has great customer service and he added to the experience. -

I order a Groupon to try this place and let's say they were awesome!
The place gives a nice bar ambience vibe. Although the booths were dirty, Aaron cleaned our spot right up.
I noticed on the menu the Mac n cheese appetizer so my sister and I order it along with their Chuck Norris burger. I had a side of French fries whereas my sister had the potato fries.
Let's get right to it. The food was splendid. I like to say I am burger connoisseurs so I know a great burger when I taste one and they make a mean burger. The burger was well done with cheese melted to perfection. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh with a slap of spicy but not too spicy mayo. I love spicy so it wasn't spicy to me at all. Lastly, all was placed on a nicely toasted buns. The fries were crisped to perfection! The food was so good it made you want to slap yo mama ( but not my mama because she crazy lol).
The customer service that Aaron gave was splendid as well. He paid just the right amount of attention to our needs and he bagged our leftovers. I left full, satisfied, and happy that I had an opportunity to enjoy such a simple but well seasoned meal. I recommend this place and they are well deserving of five plus stars!! -

2-Stars, Meh. I've experienced better.
Stopped by on a Sunday morning and was excited about them not having a wait. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted immediately when we walked in.
Our waitress came by and took our order. I ordered the SOUTHERN FRIED WAFFLE SANDWICH with fried chicken sandwiched between two waffles with bacon maple jam and a bloody mary. The place started filling up and I started getting impatient. I started noticing that no one was getting food. After about 45 minutes I asked the waitress how much longer because I was about to pay for the bloody mary and leave. She said the kitchen was having issues with the waffles.
The food finally comes out, my eggs were over hard instead of over easy and cold. The waffle did not taste like it was just made. The best part was the fried chicken. I was very disappointing by the quality of the food. I love chicken and waffles and have found Bacon n Butter to have the best in town.
I will disclose that management comp'd the bloody mary for the wait, but I would still not be back. Returning back to a place for me requires consistency. The food should be on par every single time not depending on who is in the kitchen. -

Do not make the same mistake I did. AVOID going here during the daytime. Highwater is a (mildly dirty) bar to go to at night, but my god, not during the day.
First, it almost goes without saying, but we were the only brown people here and shocker, the only ones treated like crap. Is there a connection? I would sure say so.
My experience in the morning was, well, crap. The waitresses were TERRIBLE, they didn't check on our table at all, WERE STRAIGHT UP RUDE AND INCOMPETENT.
We ordered the loaded Bloody Mary, huevos rancheros, and the waffle. The Bloody Mary was cool because it had sliders, sausage, etc; however, the waffle was DISGUSTING. It was so so cold and hard, I could barely chew it without wanting to puke. The huevos rancheros weren't bad, but definitely were not good.
Another thing, I asked the waitress to take the waffle off because it was jus sitting there, uneaten, and she didn't say a word to us. So rude. I seriously thought about just walking out. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. -

I had a great first impression of this place. Service was so friendly, the drink menu is very craft, and I love the vibe. I'll be coming back regularly! Especially because this is only a 7 min walk from my home.
